Early Learning

At Christine W. Avery Learning Center, early learners are independent explorers whose minds are developing rapidly. CWA provides a safe environment that supports their development. Our youngest scholars begin to participate in structured activities that are designed to encourage the development of their fine and gross motor skills, speech, listening skills, comprehension skills, and early literacy skills.

Scholars also learn through a variety of stimulating, hands-on experiences, all designed to support their development and growth. Scholars engage developmentally appropriate activities in math, science, early literacy and writing, and art.
